Ecommerce Stories: Your Weekly Dose of Business Inspiration

One of the best things about selling to businesses is the number of interesting stories you hear from the people behind them. You hear about the early days, the struggles, the heroic deeds, the victories, and - if you're lucky - the fuckups.

I'm a fan of such business stories. Everyone knows the ones about the captains of industry: Marc Benioff, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, etc. Reading about how these legends built up their empires makes you hungry and foolish, makes you want to screw it and do it.

However, you don't have to be a Fortune 500 company to have an amazing story. I often find the stories of smaller businesses more insightful, exactly because they come from ‘mere mortals’ like you and me.

The stories that we hear through our daily interactions with eCommerce businesses are interesting for anyone in the industry. That’s why we want to make them available for this group. From this day on you can find a fresh Ecommerce Story on the Userlike Blog every week.

Each post shares the unique story behind another Ecommerce business: how did it start and evolve? What did the founders learn on the way and what tips do they want to share with fellow entrepreneurs?

This first week we’ll kick off with two stories:

Do you have an inspiring story to share about your business? We are open to stories of businesses of all sizes and in any location of the world. Just send a pitch to tamina.steil@userlike.com and briefly explain why your story is interesting for other entrepreneurs. Please use as a title 'eCommerce Story [your business name]'. If it sounds like a fit, we'll get in contact for an interview.
